I'm Cole. I build AI systems for a living — currently as Staff AI Engineer at Reify Health, where I work on applied AI in decentralized clinical trials.

Before Reify I was Senior AI Engineer at Wood Mackenzie, building internal agentic platforms and retrieval systems for a team of analysts across energy and natural resources. Before that, I spent eight years at Harvard's Arts and Humanities Research Computing group (DARTH), where I built roughly twenty research platforms for humanists — digital archives, TEI-driven editing, IIIF image delivery, NLP-driven search, and a lot of data visualization.

On the side I run Hapax Digital, an AI and software-engineering consultancy focused on digital humanities and ed-tech projects. If that sounds like it might overlap with something you're working on, I'd love to hear about it.
